I see the top of this church each time I walk across the piazza near my house. developed from 1642-1660, it’s a traditional work of Baroque architecture. The designer was Francesco Borromini, aka arch opponent of Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

While I am down for Bernini, it’s regrettable that Borromini is not appreciated more. His contemporaries were perceived as being stronger visual artists. Borromini’s stamina was much more technical however that doesn’t imply we ought to neglect the charm of his buildings.
Borromini was incredibly challenging to work with as well as frequently depressed. He dedicated suicide in 1667.
This church is just one of his masterpieces as well as it influences me.
Buon weekend!
